Description: River Blast at First Vineyard: Concert at the Palisades is an annual event held to celebrate and raise awareness of the beautiful Kentucky River. The event is held on the site of the nation's first commercial vineyard, overlooking the Kentucky River Valley and features Conch Republic Band, a high-energy, colorful show that focuses on crowd participation. Crazy characters on stage perform beach tunes from artists like the Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, Zac Brown, Harry Belafonte, plus some great originals while engaging the crowd in sing-along, conga lines, limbo and dance contests, topping it off with colorful costumes, lights, stage props and party favors for those who like to join in the fun. Sassafras, a popular Kentucky Bluegrass band, will kick off the music lineup; other event features include a Grape Stomp, wine, beer and food vendors, and more. Proceeds go to Kentucky River Keeper and Bluegrass Tomorrow.

EntertainmentConch Republic Band, recipient of the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Rising Star awards for Top Beach Band, offering a high energy, colorful show that will encourage everyone to join in the fun with sing a longs, conga lines and more. Sassafras, an exciting young Bluegrass band that has quickly become a local favorite in Kentucky's Bluegrass Region.

From Man o' War Blvd @ US 27 Intersection in Lexington:
Head South on US-27 S/Nicholasville Rd. You will need to take the by-pass around Nicholasville (at the Golden Corral Restaurant, Applebee's). Continue on the by-pass, past the McDonalds, and Valley Farm Equipment. Our turnoff is approximately 4 miles past the McDonalds (It it approx. 12.9 miles from Man o' War to turning onto 1268.

Watch for our blue Tourist Activities sign for Sugar Creek Resort. If coming from Lexington, DO NOT turn right onto 1268 towards Wilmore.

If coming from south (Lancaster or Danville) DO NOT turn right onto Ft. Bramlett Road. Continue north on US 27 until reaching Highway 1268 on the right; turn right onto 1268.

Travel out route 1268 4.3 miles (You'll pass Brumfield Lane, Bruner Road, United Methodist Church). At that point, 1268 will turn left. DO NOT TURN LEFT - Continue straight ahead onto Sugar Creek Pike.

Stay on Sugar Creek Pike another 2.1 miles and watch
for white numbers, 5800, on a black mailbox and our
large horse sign. Do not trust your GPS- some will take
you past our driveway to an impassable road.

Drive up the gravel driveway past the log cabin and
continue down the driveway past the stable until you
