Union County celebrates its distinction of being the top corn producing county in Kentucky with a three-day street festival. The Corn Festival is held the third Saturday in September and the preceding Thursday and Friday. The Festival is highlighted by the Saturday afternoon parade. Food booths are a favorite and many former residents make it a homecoming weekend. The Festival originated in 1974 and has been hosted by the Morganfield Lions Club since 1987.
