| Description: | From Derby Day Festival Website: The first ever Derby Day Festival was held in 2001. The event was and still is coordinated by the Merchants' Committee. Over the years many attractions have been added to the festival to keep family entertainment first. The event was designed to give families affordable entertainment within our community. Kids can enjoy a number of kiddie rides and blow ups. Cars fill the church parking lot for the annual car show. Families line the street to welcome the parade. Live music can entertain anyone for hours on one of two stages. For the competitive spirit there is plenty of friendly competitions: Derby Dash 5k, Kentucky Federal Has Talent, Car Show, and Hot Wheels Drag Racing.
Last but not least, crafters can enjoy a whole strip of homemade crafts!
