| Description: | Location: Land Between the Lakes $4 adults/ $2 children. Registration limited. Call 270 924-2020 to reserve your space. Registration and full deposit required. Dress for the weather, waterproof footgear recommended,and moderate walking required. This program will be cancelled for inclement weather. 150years ago, the Land Between the Rivers was bracing for war. Confederate forces occupied Fort Henry with federal forces moving up the Tennessee River. During this afternoon program beginning at The Homeplace, through period images and maps, learn about Fort Henry, its impact on the Civil War, and its legacy. Later, relive the siege of Fort Henry on a guided walk around the remnants of Fort Henry's outer fortification. | |||
