Tater Day festival runs April 2nd-5th with Monday, the 5th being actual Tater Day and the day the parade is held, schools out, etc You mentioned needing a crafter application, but no such application exists. Here are your options as far as being a vendor at Tater Day. Food vendors are on their own to find a piece of property to set up on and negotiate a price with the property owner. The majority of food vendors set up on Main Street or Poplar Street which is partly commercial and partly residential property, course the spots that are in the heaviest traffic area have probably already been reserved cause same ones are there each year. If this interests you then you might want to try contacting our Property Valuation Administrator at 270-527-4728 to check on property owners that you could contact if you are not familiar at all with Benton. Benton City Hall 270-527-8677 leases out spots on the court square to food vendors for Monday only. Once food vendors are set up, then they are paid a visit by the Marshall County Health Dept. to get a temp permit to operate. Vendors generally set up Friday-Monday, some even a day or two earlier. Flea Market Vendors - If you just want a booth to sell anything else out of, then you would either have to locate property as mentioned above to set up on, or you can set up in the outdoor flea market area adjacent to Main and Poplar streets (very much in the traffic flow). To reserve booth space in the flea market section, you will need to contact a gentleman named Charlie Angle at 270-703-1435 after 12:00 noon central time and he will give you instructions for that.
